Minneapolis City is proud to announce that Adam Pribyl has been elevated to club President.
“This is the first sentence of the next chapter we are writing for this club.”
Pribyl has been with the club since its founding, in a number of roles including Head Coach, General Manager, and, most recently, Director of Sporting Strategy.
“Adam is City through-and-through” said co-founder and outgoing President Dan Hoedeman. “He is passionate about the mission and has the unique set of skills and ambition that we need to write the next great chapter of this soccer club.”
“It is a privilege and honor to continue serving the mission of
Minneapolis City Soccer Club. This small group of determined volunteers has already accomplished so much, but mark my words, we are only just getting started.” said Pribyl.
Pribyl is a soccer guy: he played college soccer at St. John’s, coached DeLaSalle High School, and is the Executive Director of Southest Soccer Club. Additionally, he leads the Soccer Partnerships part of NBC Next’s business.
As the club looks forward to its third season in USL League Two and fourth in the UPSL, there are areas for growth, improvement, and expansion.
“This club was and is built by regular people, by the volunteers, and staff, and fans. As I look ahead, I see big opportunity” continued Hoedeman. “And Adam is the right person to get us into a place where we can take that opportunity. He’s a team builder, a connector, and a smart soccer brain.”
“We are determined to make Minnesota soccer better. We think that means bringing people together, because that is the power of this sport. Sometimes that is through challenging the status quo, because our collective potential in soccer in this country is vastly untapped” said Pribyl. “I am thrilled to lead Minneapolis City and with the community’s support, the possibilities are limitless.”
